St. Andrew Catholic School Uniform policy

K-5 Handbook:

Uniforms for K-5 boys and girls include long- or short-sleeved polos: white, navy blue, or red. Pants must be khaki chinos. Khaki chino shorts which fall to the top of the student’s knee are allowed from August to October 15 and April 15 to the end of the school year. Conservative belts are allowed. Girls may wear Dennis brand “Woodland Plaid” jumpers (knee-length). A white polo and either solid, neutral-colored (navy, black, gray, charcoal, or white) leggings/tights or shorts must be worn under jumpers. 

Jackets and sweatshirts without the St. Andrew logo are not allowed in the classroom. No hoodies are allowed. Students without appropriate outerwear will be provided with an appropriate sweatshirt for the day. Any loaned clothing items must be washed and returned to the office the next day. House shirts may be worn on Wednesdays along with jumpers or khakis. Students participating on a sports team may wear their jerseys on the day of their competition.

6-12 Handbook:

Uniform for 6-12 boys and girls includes long or short-sleeved polos: white, navy blue, or red. Polos must be neatly tucked in at all times. Pants must be khaki chinos. Khaki chino shorts which fall to the top of the student’s knee are allowed from August to October 15 and April 15 to the end of the school year. Conservative belts are allowed. Girls may wear Dennis brand “Woodland Plaid” skirts (knee-length). Only High School (9-12) girls may wear Dennis brand navy blue skirts.  Either solid neutral-colored (navy, black, gray, charcoal, or white) leggings/tights or shorts must be worn under skirts. Students are allowed the option of wearing navy blue blazers every day. 

Chapel Dress: Chapel dress is required for Mass/chapel days, presentations, or any other day announced in advance by faculty or administration. Girls must wear skirts, white collared blouses, red cross-ties, and conservative dress shoes. Boys must wear khaki chino pants, Chambray blue collared shirts, conservative ties, and conservative dress shoes. 

PE dress: Black shorts that fall to the top of the knee or black sweatpants and plain red T-shirts are required. Shorts that are too short or tight are prohibited.

Spirit/sportswear: grade 6-12 students have the privilege of wearing school-sanctioned spirit and sportswear tops, available through the school’s online store or the Athletic Department. Bottoms must remain the applicable uniform pants or skirts.

Jackets and sweatshirts without the St. Andrew logo are strictly forbidden in the classroom. Sanctioned St. Andrew Spirit Wear, including hoodies, may be worn every day. House shirts may be worn on Wednesdays along with uniform skirts or khakis. Students participating on a sports team may wear their jerseys on the day of their competition.
